Introduction
An Icon is an expression of the faith of the community and plays an integral role in Orthodox worship and spirituality. It is also called liturgical art and just like liturgical songs, it must also be proper to the liturgy and express the faith of the Church. Through this workshop we explore the process of writing/painting Icons in such a manner that it enriches and befits the Liturgy and life of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. This workshop has been crafted with the intention to capture the young minds and introduce them to the significance and scope of iconography in Malankara.
